Malaysia’s Defence Secretary General Takes Office

Mohd Zuki Ali has been appointed secretary-general of the defence ministry. He takes over from Halimi Abd Manaf who retired on April 12, 2019. 

He arrival was welcome by a guard-of-honour at the defence house as a symbolic of his first day at the defence ministry. The guard-of-honour comprises three officers and 103 other ranks from the First Battalion, Royal Malay Regiment.

Subsequently, he paid a courtesy call on defence minister, Mohamad Sabu and his deputy, Liew Chin Tong and chief of armed forces, Gen Zulkifli Zainal Abidin. Also present at the event were service chiefs.
